What this mod does
Lucky Mining rewards you for mining nonstop. With the mod, every time you break an ore block it has a chance to respawn in the same spot, so you can mine it again and get more material out of a single vein.
How the streak works
- You start with a 40% chance that the ore respawns.
- Each ore you break in a row adds another 2%.
- If you take more than 3 seconds between blocks, or break a block that isn’t ore, the chance resets to its starting value.
- It works with copper, iron, gold, silver, thorium, cobalt, adamantite, mithril and onyxium.
Configuration
All four values (starting chance, increase per ore, maximum time between blocks and the ore list) can be changed in the mod’s config. That way you can make it more generous for a creative world or more restrained for a survival server.
Who it’s for
For players who spend hours in the mines hunting for endgame metals like mithril or adamantite and want every vein to yield more. The author, Buuz135, also made Advanced Item Info. The code is open source (MIT license). Version 1.0.7 is the one updated for 0.6.
Update (Oct 12, 2026): with Update 7 (0.7) now out, the author has already released a compatible file: version 1.0.8 (October 12, 2026). What’s described on this page was tested with the previous version; check the author’s changelog in case anything has changed.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.7 for version 1.0.7 of the mod
- Enable the mod in the world settings or install it on the server
- No other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the Lucky Mining page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download the LuckyMining-1.0.8.jar file for version 0.6 from the Files tab.
- If you download it manually, copy the file as is (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: on Windows %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Open Hytale, right-click the world where you want to use it, check Lucky Mining in the mod list and save the world settings.
- On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- In game, mine ores one after another without stopping for more than 3 seconds so the respawn chance keeps rising.

Common problems
I don't notice any effect
It only affects the ores on the list (copper, iron, gold, silver, thorium, cobalt, adamantite, mithril and onyxium), and the streak resets if more than 3 seconds pass or you break a different type of block.
Can I tweak it?
Yes: the starting chance (0.4), the increase per ore (0.02), the time between blocks (3 s) and the ore list are all in the config.
Is it cheating on a server?
It changes how fast you get metals, so on a server it's best if the admin decides and installs it for everyone.
