More Crossbow Tiers for Hytale

What this mod does

More Crossbow Tiers fills a gap in Hytale’s arsenal: every weapon has several material tiers except the crossbow, which falls behind halfway through the game. This mod adds four new crossbows: thorium, cobalt, adamantite and mithril.

Damage

The author has tuned damage and recipes so progression is smooth and true to the game. The crossbow deals 55% of a bow’s damage, with a 2.7 multiplier on the combo and 7.8 on the special attack:

• Iron (the vanilla one): 10 normal, 27 combo, 78 special.
• Thorium and cobalt: 16, 43 and 125.
• Adamantite: 20, 54 and 156.
• Mithril: 25, 68 and 195.

Compatibility and version

It’s compatible with More Arrows by Skovos, an arrow mod also designed for the endgame. The latest file, More_Crossbow_Tiers_0.6.8.zip (September 19, 2026), is the update for game version 0.6.8, although CurseForge only tags it as Early Access. It’s 74 KB and doesn’t need other mods.

This mod page was checked with Hytale 0.6 (Update 6). With Update 7 (0.7), released on October 12, 2026, the mod will need an update: don’t use it in an important world until the author releases a file tagged for the new version.

Checked on October 20, 2026: the author hasn’t released a file tagged for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7) on CurseForge yet. We’ll check again and update this page as soon as it’s out.

Requirements

• Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.6 (file More_Crossbow_Tiers_0.6.8.zip)
• No dependencies: it doesn't need other mods
• Optional: More Arrows by Skovos

How to install it

1. Open the More Crossbow Tiers page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download More_Crossbow_Tiers_0.6.8.zip from the Files tab (the 0.6.8 file, the latest one).
2. If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
3. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check More Crossbow Tiers in the mod list and save the world settings.
4. On a dedicated server, place the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
5. In game, look for the new crossbows among the weapon recipes at the workbench for each material.
