What this mod does
spark is the performance profiler by lucko, the author of LuckPerms, adapted for Hytale. It helps you find out why a server is running slowly: which mod, system or thread is eating up the time of each tick.
What it measures
- CPU: in about 30 seconds it generates a tree report that opens in spark’s web viewer. It can record only the moments of lag.
- Memory: heap summary, full heap dump and garbage collection monitoring.
- Server health: more accurate TPS than the game’s own, tick duration, CPU, memory and disk.
- Tick monitor: alerts you when a tick goes over the time you set.
Basic commands
/spark profiler start and /spark profiler stop to profile, plus /spark tps, /spark health, /spark gc or /spark tickmonitor. Each one uses the spark.<subcommand> permission.
Version
1.10.186-build34 (September 18, 2026) is the version for Update 6. It goes in the server’s mods folder and doesn’t need any other mods.
This page has been checked with Hytale 0.6 (Update 6). With Update 7 (0.7), released October 12, 2026, the mod will need an update: don’t use it on an important world until the author publishes a file tagged for the new version.
Checked on October 20, 2026: the author hasn’t published a file tagged for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7) on CurseForge yet. We’ll check again and update this page as soon as it’s out.

- No dependencies
- Optional: LuckPerms or another permissions manager to grant command access by group
How to install it
- Download the 1.10.186-build34 file from the Files tab of spark on CurseForge (the file tagged 0.6), or click Install to use the CurseForge app.
- For a dedicated server, stop it and copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the server's mods folder; then start it again.
- For a single-player world, copy it to %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods and enable it in the world settings (right-click the world, mod list).
- Run /spark profiler start, reproduce the lag for a while and then run /spark profiler stop: the command gives you a link to the report in the web viewer.

Common problems
Does it work for a single-player world?
It's designed for servers, but it also works in a local world if you enable it there. It's most useful on servers with lots of mods.
Does it slow down the server?
The author describes it as lightweight enough to use in production, with no setup needed.
How do I give my moderators access to the commands?
Each subcommand has its own permission, for example spark.profiler or spark.tps; assign them with your permissions manager, such as LuckPerms.
Where can I see the report?
When you stop the profiler you get a link to spark's web viewer, with the call tree.
