What this mod does
Shardust’s Animated Hairstyles adds animated hairstyles for your farmer: the hair moves as you walk and run, and it dyes with the same colors as the game’s hairstyles. Some are brand new, some are animated versions of the vanilla hairstyles, and others come from another hair mod by the same author.
What’s included
- 155 hairstyles as of the September 2026 update: braids, buns, ponytails, dreadlocks, afros, buzz cuts with bangs and more.
- An optional «Brighter» version with a lighter gray, ideal for pastel or white shades.
- An optional «Prismatic» version with hairstyles that change color on their own.
- Quarterly updates with five new hairstyles each time.
Requirements and usage
It’s a content pack for Fashion Sense, the clothing and hairstyle framework, which is required along with SMAPI. To browse and wear the hairstyles, buy the Hand Mirror at Pierre’s shop or type fs_add_mirror in the SMAPI console.
The September 2026 file (version 19.0.0, 671 KB) keeps compatibility with 1.6. The author asks that bugs in Fashion Sense itself, such as layers affecting other clothing or multiplayer issues, be reported on the Fashion Sense page. It pairs well with other clothing packs like Wabi’s Wardrobe.
