What this mod does
Furniture Framework (FF), by leroymilo, is a framework that lets furniture pack creators make furniture far more customizable than the base game’s. According to Nexus, more than 100 mods use it. On its own, it doesn’t add any furniture.
What it lets packs do
- Custom rotations, collisions and areas, layers, seats and table slots for placing items.
- Look variants, states that change with a right-click, particles and animations.
- Special furniture: dressers, TVs, beds, fish tanks, rugs and wall furniture.
- Light sources, catalog categories, built-in storage and furniture that opens a shop when you use it.
Requirements and compatibility
It needs SMAPI; with Generic Mod Config Menu you can turn parts of packs on or off and configure slots. Version 3.3.0 (March 29, 2026, 92 KB) adds more compatibility with other mods and an API. It supports Content Patcher tokens for modifying packs.
If you get errors about an old format, uninstall those packs or go back to a 2.x version. For Android there’s 3.0.5 under Old files, which doesn’t work on PC. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer.

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC; 3.0.5 under Old files is for Android)
- SMAPI 4.x
- Generic Mod Config Menu (optional)
- Furniture packs that use it
How to install it
- Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game with it once to make sure it works.
- Open the Furniture Framework page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Furniture Framework mod 3.3.0). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- Copy the furniture packs that use it into the Mods folder and launch the game with SMAPI. If a pack gives an old-format error, remove it or use a 2.x version of the framework.

Common problems
Does it add furniture on its own?
No. It needs furniture packs made for Furniture Framework.
What do I do if a pack gives a format error?
It's an old pack: uninstall it or go back to a 2.x version of the framework.
Does it work on Android?
There's a separate Android version, 3.0.5, under Old files; it doesn't work on PC.
