What this mod does

The E30 was the first 3 Series with a wagon body, and this mod brings it to Assetto Corsa in both of its drivetrain variants: the rear-wheel-drive 325i Touring and the all-wheel-drive 325iX Touring. The model was built from scratch by |Viper| (a.viper), and the physics and UI are by abbo90.

What’s included

  • Stock versions of the 325i and the 325iX.
  • An S1 variant with a limited-slip differential and stiffer suspension.
  • Tire and suspension options in the setup.

How it drives

It’s an eighties street car with no driver aids: you can feel the weight load up under every braking zone and every turn-in, which is why many players use it to learn weight transfer and how to handle a rear-wheel-drive car. The S1 version lets you play more with the rear axle, and the 325iX is more forgiving in the wet or on twisty roads.

Before you install it

The latest version is 1.1, from July 2018, which fine-tuned the suspension geometry to properly simulate toe and camber changes. The mod page doesn’t require Custom Shaders Patch. If you’re looking for an E30 sedan or coupe, that’s a different mod: here you only get the wagon.

Common problems

What's the difference between the 325i and 325iX?

The 325i is rear-wheel drive and the 325iX is all-wheel drive.

What changes in the S1 version?

It has a limited-slip differential and stiffer suspension.

Is it good for drifting?

It's not a prepared drift car; it's a street wagon, although the S1 with the limited-slip diff lets you slide it with control.
