What this mod does
The Clio Cup is the entry-level race car par excellence in Europe, and this mod brings the fifth generation, the one used in today’s Clio Cup, to Assetto Corsa. It comes from the Advanced Simulation and Trained Monkey Modding teams: the 3D model is the work of jdaniel_92 and Nick9320, who had already released it for rFactor 2, and Fuzo handled the Assetto Corsa conversion and the physics.

How it drives
Little power, front-wheel drive and lots of mechanical grip: here you gain time by carrying speed through corners and braking in a straight line. It’s a perfect car for learning racing lines or setting up close races with friends, since all the cars are identical.
Before you install it
It works in Assetto Corsa with no extras, but the authors recommend Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.79 or later so it looks better. Heads-up: they ask you not to install it with Content Manager, but to unzip the file into the game’s root folder instead. The latest version is 1.3, from July 2024.

How to install it
- Go to the Renault Clio RS Cup V page on OverTake.gg and log in.
- Download the file (about 329 MB).
- Open the Assetto Corsa root folder (the one that contains the content folder).
- Unzip the file there as is; don't install it by dragging it into Content Manager, as the authors request.
- Open the game or Content Manager, search for Clio in the car list and pick a livery.

Common problems
Why shouldn't I install it with Content Manager?
The authors specifically say to unzip it into the Assetto Corsa root folder; follow that instruction so all the files end up in the right place.
Do I need Custom Shaders Patch?
It's not required, but version 0.1.79 or later is recommended for better visuals.
The steering wheel turns too much
Since version 1.3 the rotation is limited to 660 degrees; adjust your wheel's rotation in the settings.
