What this mod does
SKY is a post-processing filter with its own sky and lighting configuration created by SLXCK. The idea is to get the most out of Assetto Corsa’s graphics so the environment looks lit by a real sky, hence the name. Released in August 2022, it has over 290,000 downloads on OverTake with a rating of 4.79 out of 5.
Versions and requirements
- 1.9.3 (the latest): Custom Shaders Patch 0.3.0-preview212 and Pure 3.10.
- 1.9.2: CSP 0.3.0-preview140 and Pure 3.0.
- 1.7.1: CSP 0.2.4-preview1 and Pure Gamma 1.0.
- Sol version: still available, but the author no longer updates it.
Variants
The SKY GT variant for Pure is inspired by Gran Turismo’s natural lighting and colors. The SKY DC variant, inspired by DriveClub, is on the author’s Patreon. The author thanks CIBA, creator of C13 AEGIS, for permission to use his exposure system.
Tips
The author himself admits there are areas that are too dark or too bright, excessive bloom or color, and high GPU usage, so he invites you to tweak it to your liking. He recommends pairing it with quality mods like bounced light patches, VAO and realistic materials. There’s an installation video and a Discord server for questions.

Requirements

How to install it
- Update Custom Shaders Patch and Pure to the versions 1.9.3 requires.
- Go to SKY's page on OverTake.gg, log in and download the file (about 100 KB).
- Watch the author's installation video linked on the mod page.
- Copy the files into your Assetto Corsa folder as shown in the video.
- Choose the SKY filter in the video settings and tweak the Pure config to your liking.
- If you get a black screen, check the troubleshooting thread linked on the mod page.

Common problems
Does it work with Sol?
There's a Sol version, but the author no longer updates it; the Pure version is the one that's maintained.
What is SKY DC?
A DriveClub-inspired variant the author offers on his Patreon; the OverTake download is free.
My performance drops a lot
The author warns that it's fairly demanding on the GPU; tweak the config or lower the graphics quality.
