What this mod does

Ford Aeromax V2 brings the extended-hood Ford Aeromax built from 1992 to 1997 to American Truck Simulator. Its author, maurice, started from an old, unfinished mod from before game version 1.40, took it apart and rebuilt it with many new parts to bring it «completely up to date» with today’s game. It is free and has passed 13,000 subscribers.

What’s included

  • A standalone truck with its own def ID (ford.aeromax): it does not overwrite or update the original mod, though the author recommends removing the old version.
  • Wheels and tires by Smarty and engine sounds by Slav Jerry, Kriechbaum and Robinicus.
  • Sold at the Ford dealer under Mod Dealers or at any International dealer.

Version and compatibility

The author gives no game version number; the latest update (2.2, September 29, 2026) adds a workaround for an SCS bug that made the Ford trucks show up in Road Trip mode. No DLC or other mods are required. The original model’s authors, Vladislav Williams and Siebel3D, are credited as «original authors».

Known issues

Comments mention that the right mirror setting does not stay saved; the author replies it is game behavior, not the truck. Unofficial mod: brands belong to their owners; neither Holymod nor the author is affiliated with them.

How to install it

  1. Open the mod page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
  2. Open ATS, go to the Mod Manager and enable Ford Aeromax V2.
  3. If you had the old Aeromax mod, disable it: the author recommends not mixing them.
  4. Load your profile and visit the Ford dealer (Mod Dealers) or any International dealer.
  5. Buy the Aeromax and set it up in the garage.
