What this mod does
Ford Cars: Any Engine, Any Gearbox is a mod by junseo2709 that lets you swap engines and gearboxes between the four cars from the Road Trip: Ford DLC: Bronco 2024, F-150 2023, Mustang 1967 and Crown Victoria 2006. It doesn’t touch the trucks or add engines to them.
What you can fit
- Engines: 2.7L EcoBoost V6 (Bronco), 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (F-150), 289ci V8 (Mustang) and 4.6L V8 (Crown Victoria).
- Automatic gearboxes: 10R60 (Bronco), 10R80 (F-150), 3-speed (Mustang) and 4R70W (Crown Victoria).
- Each gearbox comes in two versions, with the original car’s ratio or with the Crown Victoria’s, because in the game the differential is part of the transmission. That’s why each car shows 4 engines and 7 gearboxes.
How to use it
You set it up under My Cars > Configure. The car you’re driving can only be changed at a service station and never during a job. Each engine keeps the sound of its original car.
What you should know
Version 1.1 is made for ATS 1.61 according to the author. If you remove it, your save may warn about missing dependencies; if you continue, each car goes back to its factory parts. In the Mustang with the 5.0 L V8, the tachometer goes up to 6,000 rpm and the needle stays pinned.

How to install it
- Open the “Ford Cars: Any Engine, Any Gearbox” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable “Ford Cars: Any Engine, Any Gearbox”.
- Open My Cars, pick the car and click Configure to change the engine and gearbox.
- If it's the car you're driving, do it at a service station with no active job.

Common problems
Does the sound change when I swap engines?
No: each engine keeps the sound of its original car.
Why are there 7 gearboxes?
Each gearbox comes with the original car's ratio or the Crown Victoria's.
What happens if I disable it?
Your save warns about dependencies; if you continue, the cars go back to their factory parts.
