What this mod does
Longer Range for Road Trip Cars is a mod by Andreas Butch for American Truck Simulator that extends the range of the cars from the Road Trip: Ford DLC. Instead of enlarging the tank, it reduces fuel consumption, and you decide by how much.
Range levels
- 1.5x (uses 66.7%)
- 2x (50%)
- 3x (33.3%)
- 4x (25%)
- 8x (12.5%)
- 20x (5%)
How to use it
First, turn on realistic fuel consumption in the gameplay settings: it won’t work without it. Then, in the garage, open My Cars, pick the car and go to Configure > Engine to choose “Stock” or one of the levels.
What you should know
It only works with the Road Trip Fords and requires that DLC. Before disabling the mod, set each car back to “Stock” and save the game. The author marks it as optional in Convoy when the host allows optional mods, although he admits he hasn’t tested it there yet. It was published on September 29, 2026, and the latest update, on October 1, added the 1.5x and 3x levels. It doesn’t state the game version. The comments are positive.
