What this mod does

Ford F-150 & Bronco Realistic Upgrades is a mod by acynx12 for the two off-roaders from American Truck Simulator’s Road Trip: Ford DLC. The idea is to add only real upgrades: Ford factory parts or modifications that exist and are documented outside the game.

F-150

  • 36-gallon tank (Ford part).
  • 5.0 L Coyote V8 with a Whipple Stage 2 supercharger and 850 hp.
  • According to the author, 0–60 mph drops from 7.6 to 4.5 seconds.

Bronco

  • 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine (from Ford).
  • 7-speed manual gearbox, only with the four-cylinder, just like the real car.
  • 5.0 L Coyote V8, with or without a Whipple supercharger, based on BadassBroncos.com conversions.
  • 10R80 automatic gearbox to go with the V8.

What you should know

The author doesn’t list the game version or requirements on the page, but both cars come from the Road Trip: Ford DLC. It was published on October 2, 2026 and updated on October 3, after a user pointed out that the 7-speed manual only exists with the four-cylinder. He takes requests for more upgrades in the comments. There are no bug reports.

How to install it

  1. Open the “Ford F-150 & Bronco Realistic Upgrades: Coyote V8 Swaps & Superchargers & More” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
  2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
  3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable “Ford F-150 & Bronco Realistic Upgrades: Coyote V8 Swaps & Superchargers & More”.
  4. Go to the upgrade shop with the F-150 or Bronco and choose the new engine, gearbox or tank.
  5. If you use another engine mod for the same cars, enable only one to avoid conflicts.

Common problems

How much power does the supercharged V8 have?

850 hp according to the author.

Does the 7-speed manual work with the V8?

No: only with the 2.3L EcoBoost, as in the real Bronco.

Does it work on the Mustang or Crown Victoria?

No, only on the F-150 and Bronco.
