What this mod does

Ford Road Trip edit pack is a mod by 0xferd that tweaks the four cars in the Road Trip: Ford DLC: the 1967 Mustang, the 2006 Crown Victoria, the 2023 F-150 and the 2024 Bronco.

What it changes

  • Rear-wheel drive (RWD) chassis as an option for the F-150 and the Bronco.
  • Realistic specs for many Ford and Challenger V6 and V8 engines: 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 5.0, 5.4, 5.8 and 7.3 liters.
  • The sounds are the game’s originals.

Load order and recommended mods

If you use Meehdrescher’s Sound Remakes for the Mustang, the F150 or the Bronco, place them above this mod. The author also recommends Allison Transmission Megapack Revamped and a GM transmissions mod.

Convoy

The engines work fine as an optional mod in multiplayer, but the RWD chassis can cause log errors or crashes for anyone who doesn’t have the mod. That’s why it isn’t optional: in Convoy, everyone has to install and enable it. Without the DLC, it enables but does nothing.

Version

Version 1.2 was released and updated on October 2, 2026, and the title lists 1.61. It can be used in modpacks and in single-player. The same author publishes B-Double/Triple SCS Box Trailers.

How to install it

  1. Open the "Ford Road Trip edit pack by 0xferd" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
  2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
  3. Open the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "Ford Road Trip edit pack by 0xferd".
  4. If you use Meehdrescher's Sound Remakes, place them above this mod.
  5. Take the F-150 or the Bronco to the service shop to pick the RWD chassis and the new engines.
