What this mod does
Ford Road Trip – Larger Fuel Tanks & 6-Speed Transmissions, by yusogame, adds chassis with larger fuel tanks and six-speed transmissions to the four vehicles in the Road Trip: Ford DLC for American Truck Simulator 1.61. It doesn’t include the cars: you need them from the DLC.

The idea is to take longer trips without refueling, while keeping the rest of each vehicle’s original setup.
Six-speed transmissions
Each transmission has its own gear ratios and differential; the author stresses that they aren’t the same transmission with a different differential.
- Mustang, Crown Victoria and F-150: Economy (3.31) for relaxed, low-RPM cruising, a balanced Standard (3.55), and Heavy Haul (3.73) for better acceleration and heavier loads.
- Bronco: Economy (3.31) and Standard (4.46), with its own gearing that gives more pulling power at low speed.
The description is also available in Japanese. The author doesn’t mention compatibility with other engine or transmission mods for these cars, such as the Ford Mustang Engine and transmission pack.

How to install it
- Open the "Ford Road Trip – Larger Fuel Tanks & 6-Speed Transmissions" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable "Ford Road Trip – Larger Fuel Tanks & 6-Speed Transmissions".
- In the shop, pick the extended-tank chassis and one of the six-speed transmissions for your Ford.
