What this mod does
The Mustang 1967 from the Road Trip: Ford DLC comes from the factory with the 289. Ford Mustang Engine and transmission pack, by Stevica Sin, adds the FE big-block V8s and revises the transmission. It uses the game’s stock sound, so it doesn’t change how the car sounds.
Engines
- 390 FE V8: 375 HP.
- 427 FE Side-Oiler V8: 425 HP.
Transmissions
- 4-speed Toploader with a 3.50 differential (close ratio) or 3.25, 2.75 and 2.50 (wide ratio).
- 6-speed Tremec T-56 with a sporty 4.10 or short 4.56 differential.
What users say
Fuel consumption goes way up: one player had to call for emergency refueling three times on short trips. Another says that, with adaptive transmission on maximum power, the 4-speed Toploader shifts too early and doesn’t go past about 3,000 rpm. It’s a file of just 72 KB, containing only definitions. If you want the engine to sound different, combine it with a Mustang sound mod, such as the one by Slav Jerry. The author doesn’t mention Convoy or load order.
