What this mod does

The Kenworth K100E is a cab-over-engine truck (cabover), very popular in North America. This mod by MrOverfloater has more than 400,000 subscribers. The author says it’s his second attempt at getting closer to the real K100. Updates and support are handled by Sherman.

What’s included

  • Four cabin variants: 90- and 112-inch flat tops and Aerodyne versions.
  • Wind deflectors, fairings and paint schemes based on real K100s.
  • Stock Cummins and Paccar engines, CB radio and closable upper windows.
  • Support for DLC steering wheels and toys.
  • Fixes for suspension, interior, GPS, trip computer, interior shadows and soundproofing.

Sound and credits

It uses sounds from the SCS W900 and T680, and the author recommends the Engine Sound Pack by TGModz. The chassis models and sounds are by SCS. The paint templates are linked from the page.

Version

The description lists compatibility from 1.51 to 1.57. The latest update is from September 30, 2024. In June 2026, Sherman announced there won’t be any updates for an indefinite period. He also confirmed a known bug with the grille and fuel tank caps, still unfixed.

Requirements

Install first: Engine Sound Pack (TGModz, optional)

  • Optional: Engine Sound Pack by TGModz, recommended by the author

How to install it

  1. Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
  2. Wait for Steam to download it and launch American Truck Simulator.
  3. In the Mod Manager, enable Kenworth K100E and confirm the changes.
  4. In your save, look for the truck at a Kenworth dealer or at the modded truck dealer.
  5. Pick the cabin and configuration, and buy it.

Common problems

Is it updated for 1.61?

No: the author lists compatibility up to 1.57, and Sherman said in June 2026 that there won't be updates for a while.

What sound does it use?

The SCS W900 and T680 sounds; the author recommends the Engine Sound Pack by TGModz.

Are there known bugs?

Yes, the grille and fuel tank caps; Sherman acknowledges it as a known bug.
