What this mod does
The Kenworth W990 is the successor to the classic W900. This is Harven’s edition of Frank Peru’s mod. It started as a fix and ended up as a complete overhaul: Harven kept only the meshes and redid textures, materials, definitions, sounds and paint jobs. It goes from 1.8 GB uncompressed to about 134 MB.
What’s included
- You can buy it from level 0, and prices are similar to SCS trucks.
- 9 engines (Cummins X15 and PACCAR MX-13, including a 455MT multi-torque) and 13 transmissions.
- 3 cabins, 5 chassis and 5 interiors.
- Built-in light pack and its own CB radio.
- Supports quick jobs, heavy cargo and special transport, with advanced coupling and trailer cables.
- Its own 15-speed H-shifter.
There are separate support mods for SiSL’s Mega Pack and for steering wheels.
Before installing it
Sell any old W990s before enabling it, because the definitions change. If the headlights are missing, open the truck configurator and click any part.

Original model by 3D Molier and original mod by Frank Peru and Yekko Yek. Sounds by Kriechbaum and dashboard computer by Piva. The latest update, from September 17, 2026, is for 1.61.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator updated to 1.61
- No DLC or other mods needed
- Optional: support mods for SiSL's Mega Pack and for steering wheels (they require those packs and their DLCs)
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to download it and launch American Truck Simulator.
- In the Mod Manager, enable Kenworth W990 edited by Harven and confirm the changes.
- If you had a W990 from another version, sell it before enabling this one.
- Buy the truck in your save and configure it; if the headlights are missing, open the configurator and click any part.
