What this mod does
The KW W900 Highway Killer is Jon Ruda’s paid recreation of the Kenworth W900. It packs modern and vintage-style cabs into the same mod, so you can build anything from a current W900 with a Studio Sleeper to a classic one with an AeroDyne.
What’s included
- 6 modern cabs: DayCab, 38″, 62″ and 72″ Flattop, 72″ AeroCab and 86″ Studio Sleeper.
- 4 vintage cabs: DayCab, 42″ and 60″ Flattop and 60″ AeroDyne.
- 6 chassis in 6×4, 8×4 and 8×6, on long and standard frames.
- Modern and vintage interiors, each in 4 colors and fully animated.
- Flat, one-piece or split windshield, plus Limited versions with their own details.
- Engines and sounds by Kapitan Kriechbaum and transmissions from 6 to 18 speeds.
- Bumpers, sun visors, fenders, lights, tanks, steps and exhausts.
- Compatible with SiSL’s Mega Pack, the Cabin Accessories DLC and the author’s Wrecker DLC.
How to buy it
It costs $35 and you pay by card on byjonruda.com; within a few minutes the download shows up in your account. Version 9.15, from October 8, 2026, works on 1.58 through 1.61. According to the website, compatibility and content updates are free for existing buyers. It’s also sold as part of some of the author’s bundles.

How to install it
- Go to the KW W900 Highway Killer page on byjonruda.com and complete the purchase by card.
- Within a few minutes the mod appears in your account, under "My modifications".
- Download version 9.15 and copy the .scs file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager; if you use SiSL's Mega Pack, keep it enabled too.
- Find the truck at the brand's dealer, configure it and buy it.
- To update, download the new version from your account.
Common problems
Does it come with vintage cabs?
Yes: on top of the 6 modern ones, it includes a vintage-style DayCab, 42" and 60" Flattop and 60" AeroDyne.
Do updates cost extra?
