What this mod does
Pardubak’s Economy Mod is an American Truck Simulator classic: it’s been on Steam Workshop since 2018, and Pardubák has completely rebuilt it. It tunes the game’s economy to match commercial trucking conditions in the United States in 2026. It’s for players who want a slow career with no easy money.
What it changes
- Pay recalculated to get closer to US freight rates.
- Fuel, maintenance, wear, insurance deductibles, fines and accidents all count toward your expenses.
- Business loans: small ones carry higher interest, while large ones are longer and cheaper.
- Fines based on commercial driver’s license (CDL) rules, with progressive speeding fines.
- Damage split between cab, chassis, engine, transmission and wheels, plus permanent damage that can’t be repaired.
- Used trucks with their own mileage, wear and damage.
Version
The mod’s title says 1.61. The latest update is from September 18, 2026, three days after 1.61 came out. The author explains that the game ignores the revenue_per_km_base parameter and always uses an internal constant of 15, so he calculated pay using that value.
Before you use it
It’s a single-player economy mod. Back up your profile before enabling it and read the recent Workshop comments in case other players have posted warnings.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator updated to 1.61
- A Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- No DLC required
How to install it
- Back up your profiles folder (Documents/American Truck Simulator/profiles).
- Open the “Pardubak's Economy Mod ATS” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to download the mod.
- In the Mod Manager, enable the mod and disable any other economy mods.
- Load your profile and check the pay on new jobs.

No. There's permanent damage the service shop can't remove.
