What this mod does
Road Trip mode jobs tend to be short. Road Trip Long Haul, by Codeman91, turns them into long-distance trips, so you can cross several states in your car the way you would with a trailer.
What changes
- All 149 Road Trip job templates use a range of 500 to 3,000 miles.
- Every template accepts all Road Trip company types, so there are jobs in many more cities.
- It works with the four drivable vehicles from the Road Trip: Ford DLC: Mustang 1967, Crown Victoria, F-150 and Bronco.
The description doesn’t mention changes to pay or XP: it only extends the distances.
Version and issues
It was released on September 30, 2026, and the October 8 update lowered the minimum to 500 miles, because trips used to start at 1,000 and users were asking for it. One player says there are sometimes few jobs or none at all, although when it works it’s great. Another couldn’t see the mod to enable it after subscribing. The author provides support on his Discord.
Steam doesn’t list any DLC as required, but without Road Trip: Ford you have no car to do the jobs with.

How to install it
- Open the "Road Trip Long Haul" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "Road Trip Long Haul".
- Load your profile and switch to Road Trip mode with one of the four Fords.
- If you don't see any jobs, drive to another city and check the market again.
