What this mod does
Realistic Truck & Trailer Prices, by Slayin_Egos, adjusts the prices of new trucks, used trucks and trailers in American Truck Simulator 1.61 to 2026 US levels. The author recommends it alongside his Realistic Economy, which handles pay, diesel, fines and traffic.
What it changes
- New trucks: according to the author, the game sells them at 60% of the real price; here all 19 models start at 95%. Repairs go up with the price of parts.
- Used: from about 81,000 to 660,000 miles, between 13% and 75% of the new price.
- Trailers: 36 configurations with new prices, before the 12% federal excise tax.
Examples (stock → mod)

|---|---|---|
| Freightliner Cascadia 2019 | $106,920 | $128,250 |
| Peterbilt 389 | $118,690 | $251,750 |
| Lowboy | $30,380 | $85,000 |
| 53 ft reefer trailer | $128,600 | $78,000 |
Compatibility
On other game versions it gets disabled and shows as incompatible. If another mod touches the same prices, the one higher up wins. In Convoy, everyone needs the same mods. If you don’t see the new prices, the author explains that dealers store their inventory per profile and it changes when the stock rotates or with a new profile.

Common problems
Why does my Cascadia cost more than listed?
The $128,250 is for the day cab chassis; dealers usually offer sleeper cabs, which add $11,000 to $25,000.
Does it work on other versions?
No: outside 1.61 it's disabled until the author updates it.
What does it pair well with?
The author recommends his Realistic Economy, which adjusts pay, diesel and fines.
Is there an ETS2 version?
A player asked for one; the author hasn't announced it.
