What this mod does

Jon Ruda’s Pete 389 Glider is a paid recreation of the Peterbilt 389, the classic long-hood truck, that brings the 378, 379, 388 and 389 versions together in a single mod. It’s a standalone truck: it doesn’t replace the SCS 389.

What’s included

  • 12 chassis in 6×4, 8×4 and 8×6, with long and standard frames, and several hood options.
  • 8 cabs for the 389/388, from DayCab to 72″ HighRoof, and 7 for the 379/378.
  • Original interiors from the 389, the 389X with a digital dash and the 379, fully animated.
  • Engines and sounds by Kapitan Kriechbaum and 6- to 18-speed transmissions.
  • Lots of accessories and plates, a wheel pack, and original and DLC steering wheels.
  • Compatibility with SiSL’s Mega Pack, the Cabin Accessories DLC and the author’s Wrecker DLC.
  • Paint job pack and a template to create your own.

How to buy it

It costs $35 and you pay by card on byjonruda.com. A few minutes later it appears in your account under «My modifications», where you also download the updates. Version 7.10, from September 19, 2026, works from 1.58 to 1.61.

Who it’s for
