What this mod does
Realistic Used Trucks Dealer is an economy mod by SomeNordGuy for American Truck Simulator. It makes the used truck dealer look more like real listings. It has over 20,000 subscribers.
What it changes
- Used truck mileage: from 10,000 to 1,500,000 miles.
- Price ratios closer to a real secondhand purchase.
- Non-repairable wear drops to a tenth.
- More trucks for sale at the used truck dealer.
- Adds older SCS trucks to the mod dealer with 0 miles.

Mileage and wear depend on your profile level. Since non-repairable wear goes down, used trucks are worth more, and at low levels a used truck can cost more than a new one.
Version and load order
The changelog in the description goes up to 1.56. In April 2026 the author confirmed in the comments that it works on 1.58. If you use other economy mods with their own used truck market, put this one above them. It also works for modded trucks that show up as used.
If you don’t see changes
The author explains that the original used trucks have to sell out first, which takes two or three in-game days. If nothing changes, try a new profile with the same mod order: if it works there, you have a conflict.

How to install it
- Open the "Realistic Used Trucks Dealer" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Back up your profile first.
- Put it above other economy mods that change the used truck market.
- Wait two or three in-game days for the used trucks to refresh.
Common problems
The used trucks haven't changed
The originals have to sell out first (two or three in-game days); otherwise, try a new profile to check for a conflict.
Why does a used truck cost more than a new one?
It can happen at low levels because non-repairable wear goes down.
