What this mod does
RVM Pickup Truck Horsepower Mod, by Joe.Alex61, is an add-on for Jon Ruda’s RVM Pickup Truck. It doesn’t include the vehicle: it only adds engines and transmissions far above the stock 400 hp, meant for fun rather than hauling cargo.
What’s included
- Three engines: 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 hp.
- Two high-speed transmissions: a 4-speed, recommended for the 10,000 and 20,000 hp engines, and a 6-speed for the 30,000 hp one.
Requirements
You need Jon Ruda’s RVM Pickup Truck installed and bought in your save; this mod shows up as new options in the shop. The author recommends also using a no-damage mod, because with this much power crashes are frequent.
Version
The author made it mainly for version 1.51 and says it should work on any version that supports the RVM. There’s no explicit confirmation of 1.61 on the page. With over 16,000 subscribers since November 2024, it’s the most popular add-on for the pickup on the ATS Workshop. Several comments ask where the truck is: remember that this mod doesn’t include it.

How to install it
- Open the "RVM Pickup Truck Horsepower Mod" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Go to the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "RVM Pickup Truck Horsepower Mod".
- Have Jon Ruda's RVM Pickup Truck installed and enabled; above or below doesn't matter, according to the author.
- Buy the pickup at the mod dealership and, in the shop, choose one of the new engines and the recommended transmission.

No, only engines and transmissions. The RVM Pickup Truck is bought on Jon Ruda's website.
