What this mod does
Sound Fixes Pack is the longest-running sound mod for American Truck Simulator: it’s been on the Workshop for more than ten years and has almost half a million subscribers. It doesn’t replace your truck’s engine; instead, it reworks everything you hear around you so the drive feels more believable.
What it changes
- Different tire rolling sounds on asphalt, gravel, grass and snow, plus a wet tire sound.
- More realistic rain and storms.
- Railroad crossing bells that vary by state or country.
- Unique engines and horns for hundreds of traffic vehicles, updated whenever SCS adds new models.
- Police sirens that differ by region, and navigation voices in US, UK or Australian English.
- Trailer coupling and landing gear sounds.
Optional extras
The author offers separate add-ons: cabin soundproofing, winter sounds, music and the refrigeration unit on reefer trailers. In ATS it also adds, as an option, police messages over the CB radio.
Who it’s for
For anyone who plays ATS, whether you drive stock or modded trucks. It works with every map and can be used in Convoy mode, where it shows up as an optional mod.
Version
It’s updated almost every week. Version 26.67 is compatible with ATS 1.60.1 and 1.61. It has to sit above maps, traffic mods and other rain mods in the load order.

How to install it
- Open the Sound Fixes Pack for ATS page on the Steam Workshop.
- Click Subscribe and wait for Steam to download the mod.
- Launch ATS and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable Sound Fixes Pack and move it above maps, traffic mods and any rain mods.
- If you want the extras (soundproofing, winter, music or reefers), subscribe to them using the links on the mod's page.
- Confirm the changes and load your profile.

Common problems
Does it change my truck's engine sound?
No. It affects tires, weather, traffic, the environment and coupling, but it doesn't replace the engines of player trucks.
Some sounds don't change
Check the load order: it must be above maps, traffic mods and rain mods.
Can it be used in multiplayer?
Yes, it's allowed in the official Convoy mode and marked as an optional mod.
