What this mod does
The WS 4900 is the full, paid version of Jon Ruda’s truck inspired by the Western Star 4900. Holymod already has a mod page for the free Lite version on Steam; this is the one from his store, with every option.
What’s included
- High-quality exterior and a detailed, animated interior, with interior effects by Zeemods.
- EX and SB versions and 5 cabs.
- Lots of 6×4, 8×4 and 8×6 chassis in several lengths.
- Engines and sounds by Kapitan Kriechbaum.
- Lots of accessories, a paint job pack and a template.
- HQ ambient occlusion, full lightmask and lots of driver models.
It’s compatible with SiSL’s Mega Pack, the Cabin Accessories DLC and the author’s own Wrecker DLC, which turns it into a tow truck.
How to buy it
It costs $35 on byjonruda.com. You pay by card and within a few minutes it shows up in your account, under “My modifications,” where you also download updates.
Version
Version 1.4, released September 25, 2026, works from 1.58 to 1.61 in ATS. The website doesn’t list the file size or any earlier changelog.

How to install it
- Go to the WS 4900 page on byjonruda.com and complete the purchase by card.
- Within a few minutes the mod shows up in your account, under “My modifications.”
- Download version 1.4 and copy the .scs files to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- If you had the Lite version from Steam, disable it so they don't conflict.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager, find the truck at the dealer, configure it and buy it.
- To update, download the new version from your account.
