What this mod does
Cut Down Bus, by GOMAN540, recreates a very American hack job: take an old school bus, cut off the back and turn it into a cheap vehicle for hauling your cars, ATVs or motorcycles. It’s a parts mod for the game’s bus (it carries the bus and Wentward tags) and has already passed 160,000 downloads.
What it brings
- Cut-down bus body as a base for hauling vehicles.

- Fifth wheel or gooseneck for towing trailers; you fit one or the other, not both at once.

Version and compatibility
The latest update, from October 20, 2026, is a patch for 0.40 that switches the bus to left-hand drive. The author considers it an early version and plans to add more.
Tips
The author recommends clearing the game’s cache if you see glitches. Some users have had missing materials on the mirrors, windshield cracks and the ramp surface, and another warns that an update to Bella’s truck mod caused its camper interior to be used instead of this bus’s. If that happens to you, try without other parts mods enabled.

How to install it
- Open the Cut Down Bus page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder (AppData > Local > BeamNG > BeamNG.drive > current > mods).
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Spawn the bus and, in the configurator, look for the cut-down body, the ramp, the fifth wheel and the camper parts.
