What this mod does
Hirochi Mistral is a fictional Japanese city car inspired by the fifth-generation Mitsubishi Mirage/Colt (1995-2003). It uses the made-up Hirochi brand, like the game’s official cars, and has its own 3D model and jbeam physics. It’s one of the top-rated community cars on the Repository.
What’s included
- 29 stock configurations, from economy versions to sport and rally builds.
- 1.3 liter engines, a 1.5 liter with VVTL-style (simulated) variable valve timing and a 1.6 liter V6, all with tuning options.
- Five wheel sets and two hubcaps, plus lots of parts to customize it.
- Compatible with Career mode.
What’s new in 1.2.2
The August 13, 2026 update adapts the car to 0.39 and its new lighting system: lights using the bulb system, interior controls for the ignition, headlights and hazards, a trailer hitch, movable sun visors and a fixed license plate light. In July it had already received working engine mounts and rally equipment such as lights and a roof scoop.
It’s a small, light car, ideal for learning to tune, doing gravel rally or using as a cheap street car in Career mode.

Requirements
- BeamNG.drive 0.39 or later
- About 164 MB of free space for the download
How to install it
- Quick option: in the main menu open Repository, search for Hirochi Mistral and click Subscribe.
- Manual option: download the .zip from the official Repository page and don't unzip it.
- Copy the .zip into %LOCALAPPDATAamNGBeamNG.drivecurrentmods (create the mods folder if it doesn't exist).
- Remove old versions of the mod so you don't have two copies of the same car.
- Go to Freeroam, open the vehicle selector and find the Hirochi Mistral.

Common problems
Does it work in Career mode?
Yes. The author states it has full Career mode support.
Is it an official Mitsubishi?
No. It's a fictional car from the Hirochi brand inspired by the '90s Mitsubishi Mirage/Colt, with its own model and physics.
At very high speeds on semi-slick tires it gets unstable, is that normal?
It's a known issue the author mentions in the description.
