What this mod does
The first-generation Ibishu Kashira is a seven-seat minivan that the fictional brand Ibishu would have built between 1989 and 1994. It’s built on the chassis of the Ibishu Pessima, one of the game’s official cars, and its name comes from the Japanese particle «kashira», which expresses doubt, something like «I wonder».

- Automatic gearboxes and custom engine sounds.
Compatibility
The latest version is 3.3.2 from July 2022, and the credits mention the update for BeamNG 0.25. The visible reviews go up to 2024 and don’t mention any bugs; the second generation, by the same authors and updated at the same time, has 2025 and 2026 reviews saying it still works. Even so, it’s a good idea to test it in a Freeroam session before using it heavily.
Tips
If you also have the second-generation Kashira and see material errors, delete both, clear the cache and reinstall. How to install it
- Open the 1989 Ibishu Kashira (Gen 1) page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, don't unzip it: copy the .zip into the mods folder of the current version (current) inside your BeamNG.drive user folder; if the mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, find the Kashira and pick a config.
