What this mod does
The second-generation Ibishu Kashira is a compact minivan, sporty but practical, that the fictional brand Ibishu would have built between 1995 and 2001 as the successor to the original Kashira. It’s one of the best-rated mod vehicles on the Repository, with over 800,000 downloads and an average close to 4.9.
What’s included
- Sliding doors, optional plastic body cladding and a dash-mounted shifter.
- Versions for the US, European and Japanese markets.
- Engines from a 1.4 four-cylinder up to a 3.5 V6, plus V8s taken from the Bluebuck.
- Twincharging, which combines a turbo and a supercharger on the same engine.
- Widebody kits, underglow neons and even a news van satellite dish on the roof.
- Skin support on almost every part, with several extra skins.
Compatibility
The latest update is from July 2022, and the credits thank those who helped with the fixes for BeamNG 0.25. Even so, reviews from late 2025 and August 2026 say it still works well and ask for a refresh.
Tips
If you see odd materials, delete every version of the Kashira (including the first generation), clear the cache and reinstall. The authors warn that the tow hitch only works with both doors open, that there are odd reflections in some areas and that the LED bar stays on when it breaks off.

How to install it
- Open the 1995 Ibishu Kashira (Gen 2) page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, don't unzip it: copy the .zip into the mods folder of the current version (current) inside your BeamNG.drive user folder; if the mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, find the Kashira and pick a config.

Common problems
Can I have both Kashira generations installed?
Yes, but if material errors show up, the authors recommend deleting both, clearing the cache and reinstalling; sometimes removing one is enough.
Does it work on recent game versions?
It hasn't been updated since 2022, but reviews from November 2025 and August 2026 say it still works.
The tow hitch doesn't work?
It's a known bug: it only hitches if you open both doors first.
