What this mod does
The Ibishu King Gym is a tiny 1982 off-roader that the author presents as the smallest, lightest 4×4 in the world within the BeamNG universe. It’s his first mod, the result of nine months of work, and in just a few weeks it has become one of the best-rated off-road vehicles on the Repository.
How it drives
It’s a part-time 4×4: on asphalt it runs in two-wheel drive and, when you head onto trails or mud, you have to shift into 4H or 4L low range yourself. That manual management makes it fun on rough trails, and its low weight lets it get through places where a big pickup gets stuck.
What’s included
- Two-stroke engine with its own sound and logic; the release notes mention 550 and 660 cc models.
- 16×5.5J wheels with 175/80R16 tires in several designs.
- Fold-down windshield, glass T-top roof, interior light tied to the doors and an inclinometer with a compass.
- Spare tire accessories and a rotary engine provided by the KLJP mod.
Release notes
1.0 (September 3, 2026) is the final version after two weeks of fixes: it fixes the steering column on the first generation and the transmission on the Type-L variant. The previous patch removed the steering vibration (death wobble) from the 550 and 660 cc models, which made it possible to restore the factory tire pressures.

Common problems
Why does it spin its wheels so much on dirt?
It's a part-time 4x4: under normal conditions it runs in two-wheel drive. You have to switch to 4H or 4L yourself when you leave the asphalt.
It rolls over easily, is that a bug?
Several users point out that the anti-roll bars are soft and the rear axle wobbles. It's a known behavior of this version; drive carefully on banked turns.
Are there off-road upgrade parts?
1.0 comes with little aftermarket gear. The author allows others to create add-ons with upgrade parts without asking permission.
