The Wentward Fusion is a modern Type C school bus, the classic yellow long-nose kind, made under the game’s own fictional Wentward brand. It’s one of the most downloaded bus mods of recent months and stands out for the work put into its interior.
What’s included

- Working emergency exits and a school bus warning light system.
- 6.7-liter diesel engine with specifically recorded sounds, fast idle and its own turn signal sound.

Who it’s for
If you’re looking for a bus for BeamNG to run relaxed routes, do roleplay in multiplayer or just test crashes with a big vehicle, the Fusion offers a lot of detail. The author declared it finished (version 1.0) in July 2026 after months of betas.
Release notes
1.1.0 (July 30, 2026) is the 0.39 patch: it lowers the volume of the custom sound effects and regenerates the config thumbnails. 1.2.0 (August 6, 2026) fixes the retroreflective materials.

How to install it
- Open the Wentward Fusion page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- If you had an earlier beta, delete the old file and clear the cache from the game launcher.
- Launch the game and find the Wentward Fusion in the vehicle selector.
- Wait for the compressor to purge if the engine doesn't start on the first try.

Common problems
The bus won't start, what should I do?
The author says it sometimes won't start until the compressor purges the air. Wait a few seconds and try again.
The mod shows up broken after restarting the game
The author's usual answer is to clear the cache: according to him, the mod tends to break if you don't do it after updating.
Can I use parts of the Fusion in my own mod?
Not without permission: the author forbids using parts of his models without prior authorization.
