What this mod does
TAZ Pack brings together two families of Soviet-style cars from the fictional brand TAZ, with their own backstory invented by the author. It’s one of the most downloaded vehicle packs on the Repository and has a very high rating among players.
What’s included
- TAZ Mir: a family sedan built on the base of the game’s Ibishu Miramar, with wagon, Deluxe and cab chassis variants.
- TAZ Baikal: a compact off-roader, also with a cab chassis version.
- 1.5- and 1.7-liter gas engines, a 1.75-liter turbodiesel with its own diesel sounds and a rotary engine made by KLJP.
- Sunroof, animated wipers, physical mirrors, UK license plates, police skins (Militsiya) and right-hand-drive versions.
- Lowrider parts with hydraulic suspension, CADM configs and cargo boxes.
Compatibility
The latest version, 1.3.1, is from December 2025, after the release of BeamNG.drive 0.38. Since version 1.1 the cars show up in Career mode, although not very often, and cargo box loads work in that mode. The mod page doesn’t mention multiplayer.
Tips
After updating from an older version, clear the game cache, as the author asks in 1.3, because the config names changed; any configs you made yourself with old parts may need to be rebuilt. The author acknowledges that the Baikal’s odometer doesn’t work. If you’re looking for Eastern Bloc cars for Freeroam or Career, it’s a very complete pack.

Requirements
- BeamNG.drive 0.38 (latest version tested, judging by the update date)
- About 374 MB of free space for the .zip file
How to install it
- Open the TAZ Pack page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- If you had an older version, delete it and clear the game cache.
- Launch the game, check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled and find the TAZ Mir or TAZ Baikal in the vehicle selector.

Common problems
Does it show up in Career mode?
Yes, since version 1.1 the TAZ Pack appears in Career, although not very often.
My saved configs break after updating, what's going on?
1.3 changed the config naming scheme; clear the cache and rebuild any custom configs that used old parts.
Can I upload it to another site or sell add-ons for it?
No: the author forbids reuploading it and making paid add-ons based on the pack.
