What this mod does
Vracer Baja Sur is a map of Baja California Sur, in Mexico, built from photogrammetry replicas of real tracks and places in the area. Its author, a local, scanned the locations with a drone. It’s one of the few Latin American maps on the Repository and one of the most interesting for anyone who wants to race off-road in Mexico.
What’s included
- Circuito Bronco, in a short version and an almost-finished long version.
- Rancho Probaja, with a spawn point and a time trial.
- The Luis Loco Sandoval track, in Santa Anita.
- Locations in progress: El Vado de la Ocho and the Malecón de La Paz.
- New rough areas, such as the El Migriño riverbed, used for off-road testing, and the old Hermanos Monroy racetrack.
Project status
It’s marked as Alpha: the author estimates it could take up to a year and a half to finish and plans to add the Autódromo Los Cabos and a long Baja-inspired route through spots like El Mechudo, Las Cruces and Los Filos. The map is free on the Repository, and patrons on Patreon get updates early.
Release notes
It was updated for 0.39 in August 2026, and 0.5.2 from October 9 adds several new locations. The weak spot is the bushes: one player says that in 0.5.2 they still act like walls that damage your vehicle, although the author had marked the bug as fixed earlier. A Spanish-speaking player praises how faithful it is to the real tracks.
