What this mod does
ALEXD Flare and 10.000 K Lights is a mod by ALEXD that replaces the headlight color of Euro Truck Simulator 2’s trucks with a 10,000 K white light and adds a flare effect to the lights. Traffic vehicles also get the flare, but not the new light. It has over 100,000 subscribers.

Version
The page says it requires ETS2 1.57.x. It was last updated on December 2, 2025, and has 34 change notes since 2019. The author hasn’t confirmed later versions.
Known issues
In March 2026 some users said it wasn’t working for them on the latest game version, and several are asking for a 1.60 update; the author hasn’t replied in the visible comments. If you notice the lights don’t change, check that no other headlight mod is placed above it.

How to install it
- Open the mod page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable the mod and place it above other lighting mods.
- Drive at night in one of the compatible trucks to see the change.
Common problems
Does it also change traffic lights?
Only the flare; the 10,000 K light is for the trucks.
Does it work on 1.61?
The author only lists 1.57.x, and some users say it doesn't work for them on newer versions.
