What this mod does
Realistic Mirror FOV is a mod by TruckerKid that changes the field of view (FOV) of the main mirrors on every truck in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to bring it closer to what you’d see in a real truck. It started in American Truck Simulator, and the author brought it to ETS2 because lots of players asked for it. It has over 127,000 subscribers.
What it changes
- Only the main mirrors on every truck.
- It doesn’t touch the small mirrors, the side mirrors or the front mirrors.
- In ETS2 it uses a slightly wider FOV than in ATS, because the main mirrors on European trucks are convex.
Compatibility
The description doesn’t say whether it affects digital camera mirrors. One user mentions it works with the normal definition file, but not with ProMods’ Convoy file, which keeps traffic from jittering.
Version
It was last updated on March 27, 2025, with 19 change notes since 2016. The page doesn’t list the game version, and since then several users have asked about 1.57 and 1.58 with no visible reply from the author. It’s under 50 KB and doesn’t require any DLC.

How to install it

Does it change every mirror?
No, only the main ones; the small, side and front mirrors stay the same.
Does it work with ProMods?
