What this mod does
Beacon Edit by JBM changes how the original SCS beacons and warning lights flash. It doesn’t replace models, add colors or slots, or touch beacons from other mods: it only changes the flash speed and pattern.
On your truck and trailers
- The Radiant, Pulsar, Bonfire and Space beacons rotate faster.
- The Pulse II, Star and Nova LEDs use a Vision Alert-style pattern.
- The LED Strobe gets a new pattern.
- The Space light bar loses the «The Space» text.
In traffic
AI trucks, trailers, service and emergency vehicles get faster beacons and LED light bars with a different pattern and speed. With the Special Transport DLC, the LED bars and warning lights on escort cars change too.
Compatibility and version
It doesn’t depend on specific trucks: it works in any slot that accepts the stock beacons, including on modded trucks. The author adapted it for Convoy, though he warns the game sometimes says the mods don’t match. The description says it works on 1.50; the file was last updated on August 28, 2022.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Fit a stock SCS beacon or light bar on your truck.
- Turn on the beacons to see the new flash.
Common problems
Does it add new beacons?
No, it only changes how the SCS ones flash.
Does it work on modded trucks?
Yes, if they accept the stock SCS beacons.
Does it affect traffic?
Yes: AI trucks, service and emergency vehicles, and Special Transport escorts.
Does it work in Convoy?
Yes, although the game may warn that the mods don't match.
