What this mod does
Emergency vehicles by Egon fills ETS2 roads with police cars, ambulances, gendarmes and customs officers in each country’s markings. Its author, Egon, starts from SCS’s own in-game vehicles and adds working emergency lights. Version 1.3, edited on September 21, 2026, only works on ETS2 1.61 or later.
What it adds
- 46 emergency vehicles spread across 20 countries, from the Italian Red Cross ambulance to the Carabinieri and the Lithuanian police.
- They all take part in road events with their lights on; most have LED light bars and extra lights.
- Accident scenes with ambulances in countries that didn’t have them, and customs checkpoints in France.
- Revised liveries (Czech and Spanish ambulances, German and Romanian police) and some of the game’s police cars removed from traffic.
- The three Russian vehicles are from the Heart of Russia DLC, which is still postponed, and the mod lets them drive around.
What to pair it with
It works with SCS’s basic traffic, but Egon recommends using it with the cars from Jazzycat’s AI Traffic Pack and with his per-country spawn mods. The first post doesn’t mention ProMods or load order, and the author promises more countries and vehicles.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.61 or later (doesn't work on older versions)
- No required DLC or mods
How to install it
- Open Egon's thread on the SCS forum and download Emergency_vehicles_by_Egon_v1.3.scs from the ShareMods link.
- Copy the file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager.
- For more variety, pair it with Jazzycat's pack, as the author recommends.

Common problems
Does it work on 1.60?
No. The author says 1.3 only works on 1.61 or later.
Do I need Jazzycat's pack?
No. The vehicles are SCS's and it works with basic traffic; Jazzycat's pack is just a recommendation.
Do they show up in accidents and events?
Yes. All the vehicles take part in road events with their lights on.
Are there vehicles from Spain?
The first post only mentions a revised livery for the Spanish ambulance; the per-country list doesn't include Spain.
