What this mod does
When you install a truck pack for traffic, the SCS models still show up very often and crowd out the new ones. AI Traffic No Default SCS Trucks, by Kass (author of Brutal Traffic), fixes that: it removes the stock trucks from AI traffic.
What it does
- Removes the default SCS trucks from the AI vehicle list.
- Makes room for the trucks from the traffic packs and mods you have installed, with more variety on the highway.
- It’s configuration only: it doesn’t add models and Kass says it doesn’t affect performance.
What to use it with
It makes sense alongside an AI truck pack, for example the AI Traffic Pack by Jazzycat. Without any pack, the road will end up with far fewer trucks. Kass has sister variants for cars (No Default SCS Cars), buses (No Default SCS Buses) and trailers (Clean Traffic).
Version
1.3, from September 18, 2026, is the version for ETS2 1.61. There are earlier versions for 1.58, 1.59 and 1.60 on the same page.

Requirements

How to install it
- Go to the mod's page on TruckyMods, Kass's verified account.
- Download version 1.3 (or the one for your game version).
- Copy the file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager along with your AI truck pack.
- Load your save and drive for a while: traffic refreshes little by little.

Common problems
Do all trucks disappear from the road?
Only the SCS ones. If you don't have any AI truck pack, you'll see far fewer trucks.
Does it affect performance?
According to Kass, no: it's a lightweight config mod.
Does it work with any traffic pack?
The author says it's compatible with most AI truck packs.
