What this mod does

Kathleen is an English navigation voice for Euro Truck Simulator 2 created by Peter Cailloux. It replaces the GPS voice with a playful character, with a cheeky touch of humor that never gets in the way of the directions: the idea is to give the trip some personality, not to distract you.

What’s included

  • A full English navigation voice.
  • Several random lines for each type of prompt, so it doesn’t always sound the same.
  • Extra variations for exits.
  • Dedicated lines for rerouting, U-turns, starting the trip and arriving at your destination.

How it was made

The author says the audio was generated with ElevenLabs, meaning it’s an AI-generated synthetic voice, not a recorded actress. He put the sound package together himself with FMOD.

How to enable it

After enabling the mod, go to Options, Audio, and pick the voice in the navigation section; that’s how the author explains it in the comments. The mod doesn’t state a game version, but it was released on October 3, 2026, with ETS2 1.61 already stable.

If you prefer German, the same author has Geraldine – German Navigation Voice. Other players have asked him for Swedish and Italian versions, with no date yet.

How to install it

  1. Open the "Kathleen - english navigation voice" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
  2. Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
  3. Open the Mod Manager for your profile and enable "Kathleen - english navigation voice".
  4. Load your profile and go to Options > Audio to choose Kathleen as the navigation voice.
