What this mod does
The DAF XF 105 is still one of the community’s favorite trucks, and this mod by Slav Jerry gives it an open pipe exhaust. It’s been around since 2021, its SCS forum thread has more than 77,000 views and it has over 4,200 downloads on TruckyMods.
What version 3.0 adds
- 360 to 510 hp Paccar MX engines, standalone and with a straight pipe sound.
- ZF gearbox shift sounds and retarder sounds.
- Realistic turbo behavior.
- Distance attenuation and directional distortion depending on where the camera is.
Compatible trucks
The SCS DAF XF 105 and the Vad&k DAF XF 105, the most popular mod version of this truck. For current DAFs, the author has a separate stock Paccar MX-13.
Mod history
1.0 (November 2021) already included DAF shifts, the retarder and the turbo blow-off valve. 2.0 (July 2022) redid the sound with new samples, and 3.0 (October 2025) rebuilt the whole mod and made the engines standalone, so they don’t replace the stock ones.

On TruckyMods, 3.0 is listed for ETS2 1.56. The author hasn’t confirmed later versions.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on TruckyMods, on Slav Jerry's verified account.
- Download version 3.0 directly from TruckyMods.
- Copy the .scs into Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager above the Vad&k DAF XF 105, if you use it.
- In the service shop, fit one of the Paccar MX engines the mod adds.

Does it work with the Vad&k DAF XF 105?
Yes, the author explicitly lists it alongside the SCS one.
Does it work on the DAF XF Euro 6 or the DAF 2021?
No. It's for the XF 105; for modern DAFs the author has his stock Paccar MX-13.
Does it work on 1.61?
It's only listed for 1.56; the author hasn't confirmed later versions.
