What this mod does
In Brazil it’s common to see six-cylinder Scanias with a straight pipe and a deep, very distinctive rumble. This mod by Slav Jerry brings that style to ETS2 and is one of his most downloaded works on TruckyMods.
Engines it adds
- DC13 from 360 to 540 hp for the 5 series, 6 series and Next Generation, plus a DC13 SUPER from 420 to 560 hp.
- DC12/DT12/DSC12 from 340 to 480 hp for the 4 to 6 series.
- DC11/DSC11 from 340 to 380 hp for the 3 and 4 series.
What you’ll hear
Besides the engine, it includes the retarder, Opticruise gearbox shifts and a sound that fades and changes depending on the camera position. Since 3.0 the engines are standalone, so they don’t replace the stock ones: you pick them at the upgrade shop.
Compatible trucks
SCS’s Scanias, RJL’s Scania R, Streamline and 4 Series, JUseeTV’s Scania PGR and Fred’s Scania. If you’re after a V8, the same author made the Scania V8 Open pipe Lepidas.
Version
3.0.1 (June 19, 2026) is listed for ETS2 1.56–1.60. As of October 7, the author still hasn’t added 1.61.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on TruckyMods (Slav Jerry's verified account).
- Download version 3.0.1, hosted on TruckyMods.
- Copy the file into Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Enable it in the Mod Manager, above your Scania truck mods.
- At an upgrade shop, swap the engine for one of the DC11, DC12 or DC13 engines it adds.

Common problems
Does it replace the stock engine sounds?
No. Since 3.0 it adds its own engines that you pick at the upgrade shop.
Does it work with JUseeTV's Scania PGR?
Yes, 3.0 added that compatibility.
Is the retarder very quiet?
That was a bug in earlier versions; 3.0.1 fixes it.
