What this mod does
Iveco Cursor Stock Sounds is a sound mod by Slav Jerry, one of the community’s best-known sound authors. It replaces the engine sound of SCS’s three Ivecos with one that aims to reproduce stock Cursor engines, without a modified exhaust.
Trucks and engines covered
- Iveco Stralis (Euro 3 to Euro 5): Cursor 8, 10 and 13 engines.
- Iveco Stralis Hi-Way (Euro 6): Cursor 9, 11 and 13 engines.
- Iveco S-Way: XCursor 13 engine.
What changes when you drive
- Dedicated ZF retarder sound when slowing down.
- The engine fan only kicks in when you stay above 1500 rpm for a few seconds.
- Cab insulation is noticeable: it sounds different inside than outside.
- The sound fades with distance and changes depending on where you’re looking at the truck from.
Who it’s for
For anyone who drives Ivecos and wants a more believable stock sound, without the straight-pipe tone of other mods. The author says he works from SCS samples and specifications, which he processes and mixes. It’s version 1.0, released on September 19, 2026, and listed as compatible from 1.56 to 1.61.

Requirements

How to install it
- Download the mod from Slav Jerry's page on TruckyMods.
- Copy the .scs file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Open the Mod Manager and activate Iveco Cursor Stock Sounds.
- Place it above any other mods that change Iveco engine sounds.
- Go to a service shop and check that your Iveco has one of the covered Cursor engines.
- If you don't hear it, check the author's own video installation guide.

Common problems
Does it work with Iveco trucks by other authors?
The author designed it for SCS's Ivecos (Stralis, Hi-Way and S-Way); on mod trucks it isn't guaranteed.
Is it a straight-pipe sound?
No. It's a stock sound; Slav Jerry has other separate mods with straight pipes for other brands.
Do I need any DLC?
No. The three Ivecos covered are in the base game.
