What this mod does
Sound Fixes Pack is one of Euro Truck Simulator 2’s longest-running sound mods. It doesn’t change your truck’s engine: it works on everything you hear around you so that driving feels far more believable.
What it changes in the game
- Tire noise that changes with the surface: asphalt, gravel, grass, snow or road joints.
- More detailed rain, thunder and wet-road rolling sounds.
- Custom sounds for hundreds of AI traffic vehicles, with varied engines and horns, plus country-specific police sirens.
- Trains and level crossings with different bells depending on the country.
- Reworked refueling sequence, suspension bumps, trailer coupling, landing gear and sliding axle.
- Wind at high speed, echo under bridges and overpasses, and a grinding sound when you miss a gear.
- Eight separate air horns and navigation voices in Australian, British and American English.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants more immersion without touching their truck’s sounds. It’s compatible with engine sound mods, modded trucks and maps like ProMods. Since it packs a lot of content into a single file, it fits nicely within Convoy’s mod limit, where it’s listed as an optional mod.
Version
Version 26.66 is ready for ETS2 1.61. The author releases updates very frequently, and there are separate optional add-ons (soundproofing, reefer, winter and music).

Highlights and things to keep in mind

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 updated to version 1.61
- Steam account to subscribe on Steam Workshop
- No DLC required
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading it (about 311 MB).
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager from the profile selection screen.
- Enable Sound Fixes Pack.
- Move it above rain, AI traffic and map mods (for example, ProMods).
- Confirm the changes and load your profile.

Common problems
Does it replace my truck's engine sound?
No. It changes the environment, traffic and truck effects, but it doesn't replace the engine sound, so you can use it alongside any engine sound mod.
Does it work in Convoy?
Yes. The author says it works in single-player and in Convoy, where it's listed as an optional mod.
Some sounds don't change or sound weird
Check the order in the Mod Manager: it has to be above rain, AI traffic and map mods.
Do I need any DLC?
No. It works with the base game and with paid or modded maps.
