What this mod does
Modern UK Speed Limits is a small tweak by Foryst for anyone who drives a lot in Great Britain. In ETS2, trucks are still limited to 50 mph on British dual carriageways, a limit England and Wales raised to 60 mph in 2015. This mod brings it up to date.
What it changes
- The truck limit on dual carriageways goes up from 50 to 60 mph.
- It only applies where the National Speed Limit is in force and outside built-up areas.
- Where there are specific 30, 40 or 50 mph signs, the sign takes priority.
It doesn’t touch motorways or other countries: only those British roads, where you’ll now travel a bit faster without getting fined.
Installation and compatibility
Place it above all map mods in the Mod Manager, so its values aren’t overridden by those of a map like ProMods. Version 1.1, from June 19, 2026, adapted it to versions 1.59 and 1.60.
For map makers
Foryst lets map and patch authors use, modify and distribute his code as part of a larger project, as long as they don’t redistribute it as is.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on TruckyMods (Foryst's verified account).
- Download version 1.1.
- Copy the file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- In the Mod Manager, place it above all maps.
- Drive on a rural British dual carriageway and check the 60 mph limit.

Does it change motorway limits?
No. It only affects British dual carriageways under the national limit and outside built-up areas.
