What this mod does

Paint Job Packer, by Carsmaniac, saves you from setting up a paint job mod’s folders, definitions and textures by hand for ETS2 or ATS: you pick the vehicles and it gives you a game-ready sample mod, with placeholder textures you just swap for your designs. It’s free and open source (MIT license), and version 2.1 came out on June 8, 2026.

What it can do

  • Several vehicles in one paint job and several paint jobs in one mod.
  • Ownable trailers, including DLC ones, and trucks with accessory-based paint jobs, like the Scania S or the MAN TGX Euro 6.
  • Different paint jobs for each cab of a truck.
  • Built-in compatibility with more than 100 truck and trailer mods.
  • 4K templates in PNG and PSD, available separately.

What you need

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It doesn’t modify the game: it creates a mod that you then enable in the Mod Manager. You need an image editor that saves to DDS (Photoshop with a plugin, GIMP, Paint.NET or any editor together with DXTBmp), a 276 × 162 JPEG image for the manager and a 256 × 64 DDS icon.

What’s new in 2.1

A vehicle list in the mod description, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Turkish translations, and fixes for the Schmitz S.KO and the Scania R and S. Project saving is temporarily disabled.
