What this mod does
The ETS2 Driving Academy is a great way to practice maneuvers, but always with the same 4×2 trucks. Driving Academy Additions, by Smaen, expands the vehicle selector so you can take the tests with longer or different configurations. Version 1.3 is listed for ETS2 1.58.
What it adds
- 6×2 trucks with a front or rear lift axle (midlift and taglift) and 6×4 trucks.
- More than 30 new configurations from the in-game brands, each in left- and right-hand drive: more than 65 options.
- Electric Scania S and Renault T, in 4×2 only.
- Volvo FH5, Volvo FH Aero and Iveco S-Way.
- Power outputs similar to the stock ones and a 12-speed gearbox on all except the electric Scania.
- 1.3 adds support for the new doubles chapter and updates the Scanias.
Watch the difficulty
The exercises are designed for a 4×2, so a long truck can make some of them much harder or even impossible, and a taglift can make others easier. The author hasn’t tested every truck on every level. It doesn’t add lessons: it only changes the available trucks.
Compatibility
It only uses stock trucks. It doesn’t combine with other mods that add trucks to the Driving Academy and may conflict with mods that modify it. With the Michelin or Goodyear DLCs, the trucks use those tires.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.58 (version listed in the thread title)
- No DLC required; with the Michelin or Goodyear DLCs, their tires are used
How to install it
- Open Smaen's thread on the SCS forum and download 1.3 from Modsfire.
- Copy the file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Activate it in the Mod Manager and disable any other Driving Academy mods.
- Go to the Driving Academy and pick a truck in the vehicle selector.
- If an exercise turns out to be impossible with a long truck, redo it with a 4x2.

Does it add new tests?
No. It only expands the trucks you can use for the tests already in the game.
Can I use modded trucks?
No; the author sticks to stock trucks.
Does it work on 1.61?
The thread title says 1.58; the author doesn't confirm later versions in the first post.
