What this mod does
The game’s fatigue system only asks you to sleep every so often. Simple Tachograph, by knox_xss, adds a real tachograph: a program that runs alongside ETS2 or ATS and keeps track of your driving and rest times based on the limits you set. Version 1.8.3 was released on February 12, 2026.
What it tracks
- Daily, weekly and two-week driving, plus minimum daily and weekly rest.
- It only counts driving above 1 km/h; standing still counts as rest.
- It calculates the time left against every limit and shows you the closest one.
- Sound and console warnings starting 1 h 20 min before the limit, every 20 in-game minutes.
- With one key (F12 by default) it prints the summary to the game console.
- A button with US values (60/7 and 70/8) for ATS.
How to install it
It’s a Windows program that uses a telemetry plugin (by Supric) that you copy into binwin_x64plugins. If the plugin doesn’t load (error 0000007E), install Visual C++ Redistributable 2012; if the key doesn’t respond, run the program as administrator. It has to be open while you play, and the author recommends turning off the game’s fatigue.
Game version
The thread doesn’t state a compatible version. Version 1.8.3 came out the same day as ETS2 1.58.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open knox_xss's thread on the SCS forum and download simple_tacho_v1.8.3.7z (ShareMods link).
- Extract the archive and copy telemetry_tedit_x64.dll to the game's binwin_x64plugins folder (create it if it doesn't exist).
- If the plugin gives error 0000007E, install Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 from the vcredist folder.
- Open Simple Tachograph before playing and set the limits in minutes.
- Turn off the game's fatigue and press F12 while driving to see the summary in the console.
