What this mod does
Real Economy Reloaded is the economy mod by ExiaRS, the same author behind Real European Gas Stations Reloaded. It’s been on Steam Workshop since 2017, has more than 230 change notes and works on ETS2 1.59 or later; it won’t load on earlier versions.
What it changes
- The euro is the base currency, and 15 other currencies follow the monthly average of the European Central Bank’s exchange rates (June 2026 data in the latest version).
- Diesel, ferries and tolls with prices adjusted to real-world ones.
- Reworked loans and added insurance.
- Revised traffic fines.
- Rebalanced experience, rewards and income.
It’s not a money cheat: the goal is for earning and spending to feel like real life.
Recommended settings
The author advises enabling realistic fuel consumption, not using Autopass in Norway and starting a new profile.
Compatible maps
It covers the base game and almost all map DLCs (East, Scandinavia, France, Italia, Baltic, Black Sea, Iberia, West Balkans and Greece), plus RusMap. With ProMods and other large maps it probably won’t work well. Don’t combine it with other economy mods such as Quper’s Realistic Economy.

How to install it
- Subscribe to the mod on Steam Workshop.
- Create a new profile, as the author recommends.
- Enable the mod in the Mod Manager.
- In Gameplay options, enable realistic fuel consumption.
- In Norway, don't use the Autopass option.

Common problems
Does it give you more money?
No. It adjusts prices, income and expenses to real-world values; it's not an easy-money mod.
Does it work with ProMods?
The author says ProMods and other large maps are probably not supported; it does cover the official DLCs and RusMap.
Is it updated?
Yes, the author updates it with the monthly exchange rates; the latest version is from July 1, 2026.
Can I use it on my current save?
You can, but the author recommends starting a new profile.
