What this mod does
Realistic Brutal Graphics And Weather (RBGW) is a mod by Kass that replaces much of Euro Truck Simulator 2’s weather and lighting system. Its goal is to give every trip more varied and tougher conditions: clear days, thick fog, light showers and heavy storms at night.
What it changes
- Reworked HDR parameters and new skies (skyboxes) for distinct sunrises, sunsets and nights.
- Rain with more than ten intensity levels, raindrops and distortion on the windshield, and spray from the wheels, including from traffic.
- Storms with visible lightning and more than 40 thunder sounds that sound different inside and outside the cab.
- Water for seas, rivers and lakes, reflections on wet roads, cloud shadows and fog in several densities.
- LED streetlights, adjusted traffic light timings and low/high beams, plus a truck physics tweak designed to be used alongside the mod.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants more demanding, cinematic weather without relying on external injectors. According to the author, it runs on modest PCs that meet the official minimum requirements and is compatible with most maps.
Version
14.1 adapted the mod to 1.61 and expanded the storm system; 14.2 fixes some files. The author forbids reuploading it to other sites, so only download it from his official channels.

How to install it
- Go to the author's official website (brutaluniverse.com) or his Steam Workshop page and download version 14.2.
- If the file comes compressed, extract it to get the mod's .scs file.
- Copy the .scs into Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod.
- Open the game, go to the Mod Manager and enable Realistic Brutal Graphics And Weather.
- If you use other weather, lighting or physics mods, disable them to avoid conflicts.
- Load your save and check out the weather on the road.

Common problems
Does it work in multiplayer?
The author says it's compatible with Convoy, SCS's official multiplayer. He says nothing about TruckersMP.
Do I need any DLC?
No, the author doesn't list any required DLC and says it works with most maps.
Can I combine it with another weather mod?
It's not a good idea: RBGW replaces the weather, HDR, lighting and some of the physics, so another mod that touches the same things can override it.
Can I download it from other sites?
The author expressly forbids reuploading it elsewhere. Only download it from his official channels to get the right version.
